Fosfomycin

Type of Medication: Antibiotic

Indications: Used in the treatment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and nosocomial lower respiratory tract infections

Side Effects: Retching, stomach ache, injection site phlebitis, decreased appetite, hypokalaemia, headaches, vertigo, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, fatigue, elevated lft, Please see data sheet for full detaikls

Route of administration: Adult (Intravenous)

Dose: Dosage guideline for adults with normal renal function (creat clearance >80 ml/min). 12-24 g in 2-3 divided doses (individual dose must not exceed 8g) – please see data sheet
