Indications: Prevention or correction of low serum vitamin D levels and osteoporosis
Side Effects: Overdose associated with anorexia, nausea, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea, weight loss, polyuria, sweating, headaches, vertigo, thirst, hypercalcaemia, hyperphosphataemia
Route of administration: Adult (Oral)
Dose:Adcal D3 Forte (colecalciferol) contains 400 international units (10 micrograms) Vitamin D and 600 mg (15.1 mmol) Calcium. Can be dissolved in water. Start with Vitamin D. 800 iu od.
Administration: With food and enzymes if pancreatic insufficient. Many different preparations available.
