Temocillin

Type of Medication: Antibiotic

Indications: Temocillin is a β-lactamase resistant penicillin with activity against Burkholderia cepacia. The drug has limited efficacy in patients infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Side Effects: Adverse effects like any β-lactam antibiotic, angioedema, anaphylaxis in penicillin allergic patients, convulsions

Route of administration: Adult (Intravenous)

Dose:2g intravenously every 12 hours

Route of administration: Adult (Nebuliseds)

Dose:1g  bd. Reconstitute 1 g vial with 3 ml water for injectio.
